Ugadi Sambhrama brings together traditions, performances, and community spirit

The Kannada community in Brisbane came together to celebrate Ugadi with “Ugadi Sambhrama – Cultures in Harmony,” a vibrant cultural event held at Wynnum State High School’s Star Theatre.
The event, organised by the Kannada Sangha of Queensland, marked the traditional New Year with an evening of cultural activities, bringing families and community members together in a festive atmosphere.
Held from 5:00 PM to 8:30 PM, the celebration highlighted the spirit of Ugadi through music, cultural performances, and community engagement, reflecting the richness of Indian traditions.
The gathering served as an opportunity for the Kannada community and wider attendees to connect, celebrate heritage, and promote cultural harmony in a multicultural setting.
