The Consulate General of India in Sydney marked the birth anniversary of Rabindranath Tagore with a floral tribute ceremony held at Macquarie University.
Consul General Dr S. Janakiraman joined officials from Macquarie University in paying homage to Tagore at the university campus on May 7.
The ceremony honoured the contributions of the Nobel laureate writer and philosopher, whose influence on literature and culture continues to be recognised internationally.
Organisers said the programme celebrated Tagore’s lasting cultural and intellectual legacy.
