The Federation of Indian Associations of WA will host a special session in Perth combining music, meditation, and holistic wellbeing, aimed at promoting mental wellness and inner balance within the community.
The event is scheduled to be held on May 23 at the Hillview Intercultural Community Centre in Bentley, offering participants an opportunity to engage in relaxation and self-development practices.
The workshop will be led by Pandit Sadanand Mankar, a Sangeet Acharya, and will include live demonstrations along with guided meditation and chanting techniques such as Omkar and Beej mantras.
Participants will also be introduced to the influence of Indian classical music—ragas and swaras—on mental and physical wellbeing, along with an overview of Sahaja Yoga and self-realisation practices.
The session will feature live accompaniment on traditional instruments including harmonium, tabla, and tanpura, providing an immersive cultural and therapeutic experience.
Organisers said the initiative aims to bring together community members in a setting that encourages relaxation, learning, and cultural engagement.
Registrations are required for the session.
