FICQ announces date for Queensland’s Diwali 2026 celebrations

BRISBANE, June 29 / INDIAN ABROAD NEWSDESK

The Federation of Indian Communities of Queensland (FICQ) has announced that its Diwali 2026 celebrations will be held on November 6, at King George Square in Brisbane CBD, inviting the community to join one of Queensland’s largest Indian cultural festivals.

According to an announcement by FICQ, the day-long celebration will run from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and will feature cultural performances, live entertainment, Indian cuisine, market stalls and a range of family-friendly activities.

Organisers said the festival aims to celebrate the spirit of Diwali while promoting unity, diversity and community participation across Queensland’s multicultural society.

According to the organisers, additional announcements regarding performers, stall registrations and other event updates will be released in the coming months.
