India’s rich artistic heritage and its vision for the future came together in Brisbane with a Gond Art Workshop organised by the Consulate General of India(CGI), Brisbane, in association with MYArCC.
According to an update from CGI Brisbane, the workshop was held on the theme of Viksit Bharat 2047, linking the traditional art form with ideas and aspirations for a developed India.
Participants were introduced to the distinctive tradition of Gond art, a form known for its vibrant visual style and artistic expression. The workshop also provided participants with an opportunity to explore their own creativity through the art form.
The Consulate said the event went beyond an introduction to Gond art, with participants also sharing ideas on Viksit Bharat 2047 and the GYAN framework for a developed India.
The workshop brought together art, culture and ideas, creating a setting in which participants could engage with an Indian traditional art form while discussing a broader vision for India’s future.
CGI Brisbane described the initiative as a confluence of art, culture and ideas for a developed India, highlighting the role of cultural activities in connecting India’s artistic traditions with contemporary aspirations.
The event also formed part of the Consulate’s cultural engagement with the Indian community in Brisbane, providing participants with an opportunity to experience and appreciate an important element of India’s artistic heritage.
According to CGI Brisbane, the workshop was organised in association with MYArCC, with the discussions and creative activities centred on the theme of Viksit Bharat 2047.
