High Commissioner of India to Australia Nagesh Singh visited Legacy Iron Ore Limited in Perth, where he was welcomed by the company’s Chief Executive Officer Dr Ranajit Das and senior executives to discuss Australia-India cooperation in the resources sector.
According to the Consulate General of India in Perth, Legacy Iron Ore presented an overview of its Western Australian operations and outlined its contribution to strengthening collaboration between Australia and India in mining and mineral resources.
The company highlighted its strategic partnership with NMDC Limited, India’s leading iron ore producer and a Government of India enterprise, as a key component of its operations and bilateral cooperation in the sector.
According to the Consulate, the visit underscored the growing importance of Australia-India collaboration in critical minerals and mining, with both countries seeking to deepen partnerships in resource development, investment and supply chains.
The engagement reflected the shared commitment of India and Australia to expanding cooperation in the mining sector and advancing economic ties through strategic partnerships between industry and government.
