CANBERRA, SEPTEMBER 15/INDIAN ABROAD NEWSDESK
The High Commission of India in Canberra, in collaboration with Vividha Arts, will present the Hindi play ‘Dashorang’ in Canberra on September 19.
According to the High Commission of India’s announcement, the theatrical presentation will be held at Canberra College, 2 Launceston Street, Phillip, ACT. Doors will open at 2.30 pm, with the performance scheduled from 3 pm to 5 pm.
The event is part of activities promoting the Hindi language and Hindi theatre in Australia. The High Commission’s announcement also carries references to Hindi Diwas 2026, Hindi language and Hindi theatre.
The play is being presented by Vividha Arts. An Australian event listing identifies ‘Dashorang’ as a Hindi stage production written and directed by Jyotsna Jyoti, with the High Commission of India and Vividha Arts associated with the Canberra presentation.
The Canberra performance is also being promoted by Radio Manpasand, according to the event listing. The production is subsequently scheduled for NIDA Playhouse in Kensington, Sydney, on September 26, where Ticketek lists Vividha Arts as the presenter.
The Canberra event is expected to provide an opportunity for audiences to experience Hindi theatre and support the promotion of Indian language and cultural expression in the Australian capital.
