The High Commission of India in Canberra hosted delegates of the 2026 Asialink Leaders Program for an evening reception, highlighting opportunities for deeper engagement between Australia and India across business, government and education.
High Commissioner of India Nagesh Singh addressed the gathering and spoke about the growing Australia-India partnership, according to an update by the High Commission.
The reception provided an opportunity for delegates to engage in discussions on the expanding relationship between the two countries and areas where cooperation could be further strengthened.
The evening also featured a performance of Indian classical music, giving the delegates an opportunity to experience India’s cultural heritage. The High Commission said the performance added a cultural dimension to the reception.
The event brought together the 2026 Asialink Leaders Program delegates for an evening focused on the growing partnership between Australia and India and opportunities for wider engagement across key sectors.
