About 80 participants joined an Indian Society of WA (ISWA) Connecting Series event with LifeLinkConnect, focusing on digital awareness, online safety, community connection and support for seniors.
According to ISWA, the event brought together seniors and community members for a session featuring useful learning, meaningful conversations and opportunities to build stronger connections.
The programme covered LifeLinkConnect and its app, cybersecurity and online safety, as well as the ISWA Seniors Survey. The sessions were aimed at helping seniors feel more connected, informed and supported in their daily lives.
ISWA acknowledged the contribution of LifeLinkConnect, its speakers, BHP Western Australia, Volunteering WA, the City of Canning, LifeLinkConnect volunteers and ISWA colleagues in organising the event.
The organisation also thanked the participating seniors and community members, saying their enthusiasm and participation contributed to the success of the gathering.
The event highlighted the role of community-based initiatives in helping older members of the Indian community access information, develop digital awareness and maintain social connections.
