Bhopal/Dubai, Sep 7 (IANS) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Monday invited investors from across the world to invest in the state, describing it as a rapidly emerging industrial hub located at the heart of India’s vast domestic market.
Addressing the Annual Investment Meeting (AIM) Congress 2026 at the Dubai World Trade Centre, Chief Minister Yadav said that Madhya Pradesh offers strong connectivity, a developed industrial base and investor-friendly policies.
He assured that investors would receive full administrative support at every level, adding that the state government would stand “shoulder to shoulder” with them and ensure that their proposals do not remain pending in government offices.
Congratulating the organisers of the AIM Congress, the Chief Minister said the platform had evolved beyond traditional investment summits into a significant forum for global innovation, economic partnerships and new opportunities.
He noted that changing geopolitical conditions, shifting supply chains, artificial intelligence and the push for green growth were reshaping investment trends, making the event’s theme — “New Investment Avenues for Global Prosperity for a Sustainable and Inclusive Future” — highly relevant.
Chief Minister Yadav said that relations between India and the United Arab Emirates were at an unprecedented high, driven by the deep trust between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the UAE’s top leadership.
He added that the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA), which came into effect in 2022, had opened new avenues in trade, investment, logistics and digital cooperation.
Bilateral trade between the two countries has already crossed $100 billion, with a target of $200 billion by 2032.
Madhya Pradesh, the Chief Minister expressed confidence, would play a key role in achieving this goal.
Chief Minister Yadav invited investors from the UAE and other countries to explore opportunities in food processing and agri-business, textiles and garments, pharmaceuticals, engineering and manufacturing, logistics and warehousing, renewable energy, digital infrastructure, data centres and future technologies.
Highlighting the state’s agricultural strength, the Chief Minister said that Madhya Pradesh is among India’s leading producers of soybean, wheat, pulses, maize and spices, and has significant potential in food processing.
With the UAE importing a large share of its food requirements, Madhya Pradesh could emerge as a reliable long-term supply partner for the Gulf region.
Linking the state’s farm produce to markets like Dubai would also benefit farmers through better prices and create investment opportunities in cold chains, grading, storage and processing.
On the textiles front, Chief Minister Yadav referred to traditional products such as Chanderi and Maheshwari sarees, which are now being integrated with modern textile parks and garment manufacturing units.
The state aims to secure a stronger position in the global textile value chain.
He also pointed to the progress in pharmaceuticals, engineering and advanced manufacturing, citing industrial hubs such as Pithampur, Mandideep and Malanpur as established bases for automobile, engineering, electronics and high-tech production.
The Chief Minister described the UAE not only as an important market for Madhya Pradesh but also as a gateway to the Middle East, Africa and Europe.
“With the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor, a strong expressway network, developed industrial zones and multi-modal logistics, Madhya Pradesh is well-positioned as a strategic partner for global investors,” he said.
During the visit, CM Yadav also inaugurated an exhibition of Madhya Pradesh’s “One District One Product” and Geographical Indication products.
The display featured bell metal crafts from Betul, Chanderi sarees from Ashoknagar, Maheshwari sarees from Khargone, batik prints from Ujjain, zari-zardozi from Bhopal and carpets from Gwalior.
He stressed the need to connect these traditional products with global markets.
