Western Australia’s cultural diversity was showcased at Multicultural Fest 2026 as communities from around the world came together for a celebration of traditions, heritage and inclusion, with the Consulate General of India in Perth joining the event in partnership with a leading Indian community organisation.
According to the Consulate General of India in Perth, the Consulate collaborated with the School of Malayalam Language Inc. – Perth to present Multicultural Fest 2026, an event that brought together people from diverse cultural backgrounds to celebrate the richness of multicultural Australia.
The festival featured cultural displays and community participation, providing a platform for different ethnic communities to share their traditions, languages and artistic heritage while promoting mutual understanding and respect.
According to information shared by the Consulate, the event highlighted the important role played by community organisations in strengthening social cohesion and fostering cultural exchange across Western Australia.
The participation of the Indian community reflected its continuing contribution to Australia’s multicultural landscape, with events such as Multicultural Fest helping build stronger connections among communities and encouraging appreciation of cultural diversity.
