Members of the Telugu Association of Australia Inc. (TAAI) attended the ‘Melbourne Meets Modi’ community event at Marvel Stadium, joining about 30,000 people to celebrate the growing Australia–India partnership.

According to TAAI, the event highlighted the expanding cooperation between Australia and India across trade, innovation, education, culture and people-to-people ties, with Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi reaffirming their commitment to closer bilateral relations.

The association said the evening featured cultural performances showcasing India’s diversity, while Modi’s address was the highlight of the programme.

TAAI also acknowledged Victorian Premier Jacinta Allan for supporting the event and congratulated the Australia India Foundation for organising the celebration.

The association described the gathering as a memorable occasion that reflected the strong friendship between Australia and India and expressed hope for continued opportunities to strengthen bilateral and community ties.
