The Consulate General of India in Sydney, in collaboration with Yimiri, commemorated the International Day of Yoga 2025 (IDY 2025) with a special event held at Nirimba Fields Public School, embracing the global theme of “Yoga for One Earth, One Health.”
Among the many guests, the celebration was attended by Warren Kirby, Member of Parliament and president of the New South Wales–India Parliamentary Group, highlighting the importance of yoga in promoting health, unity, and cultural ties between India and Australia.
The event introduced students and community members to the physical and mental benefits of yoga through guided sessions, fostering mindfulness and well-being among participants. The collaboration between the Indian Consulate and Yimiri also reflected a shared commitment to inclusivity, education, and holistic health practices.
Organisers praised the enthusiastic participation and highlighted the role of such events in promoting global wellness and cross-cultural engagement through the timeless Indian tradition of yoga.
