The Consulate General of India in Sydney marked the Foundation Day of the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) with a vibrant cultural celebration held at the consulate.
The event brought together members of the Indian community and friends of India, featuring a series of performances that reflected the country’s diverse cultural heritage. Consul General Dr Janakiraman addressed the gathering, underscoring the role of cultural diplomacy in strengthening international friendships.
The programme included classical dance forms such as Bharatanatyam, alongside energetic folk and Bhangra performances, offering a rich and engaging cultural experience for attendees. The celebration highlighted ICCR’s continued efforts in promoting India’s cultural legacy globally and fostering connections that build understanding and unity across communities.
