Consul, Naresh Kumar attended the Federation of Indian Associations of WA’s Domestic Violence Awareness, Guidance and Support Forum in Perth, which brought together community organisations and advocates for discussion on domestic and family violence.
The forum focused on creating greater awareness and providing guidance and support on issues surrounding domestic and family violence. It brought community partners and organisations together to share knowledge and engage in meaningful dialogue on the issue.
The session explored different dimensions of domestic violence, including violence against women and its impact on men, older people and other sections of the community.
The forum also highlighted the need for greater awareness and understanding of domestic and family violence and the importance of community-based support and engagement in addressing the issue.
